Since the publication of my memoir, Hard Pushed: A Midwife’s Story, in 2019, I’ve been lucky enough to contribute to conversations around midwifery and reproductive healthcare across the media, from birth trauma and safety scandals to abortion rights and legislation. Combining a strong clinical evidence base with my own professional experience, I always aim to engage with current events in a way that’s accessible and relatable.

I’ve appeared as a solo speaker and panelist at festivals including the Hay Festival, Cheltenham Festival, Borders Book Festival, Wigtown Book Festival and Jersey Festival of Words.
